Elden Ring is getting a co-op mod this week

Elden Ring is largely a single-player experience, but like past FromSoftware games, it has integrated multiplayer. Players can call in for help in certain areas for tough fights, and it has PvP. They can fight other players by invading. And many players want to get more Elden Ring Runes to improve their strength to win the battle.

However, that will change with a new, incredible looking model. It comes from acclaimed FromSoft modder Luke Yui, who has been working on a true co-op mode for Elden Ring, which will be available on Nexus Mods on Friday, May 27th for the PC version of the game.

In this co-op feature, players can team up and fight anywhere in the game. It lasts until the player dies. They can ride their own horses and progress and item buffs are shared. They can turn on friendly fire to increase chaos. When players die in boss fights, they can watch their co-op partner and vote for fast travel.

The open beta starts this Friday, and the mod says it won’t get them banned because it doesn’t use FromSoftware’s multiplayer servers, and it doesn’t use anti-cheat because it runs a separate launcher. Obviously, this might create some problems, but if it works as expected, it seems like a very transformative experience that should be a lot of fun. And if players want a better experience, they can buy some Elden Ring Runes at IGGM, safe and cheap. Try it!
